Xmas star project

Post by sudheeras » Wed Dec 03, 2014 2:53 am

Hi everyone,

This is my very first post in this forum and frankly I was looking for a place in Freetronics website which can be used to share the projects with the community. But I couldn't find such place rather than this forum, but, I'm not sure if this is the correct place to post this. However, my intention was to share my Xmas project built with Freetronics Eleven board with the people like me who is playing with Arduino platforms.

The project is a Xmas star with around 1000 10mm bright LEDs, 74HC595 shift registers and TIP122 transistors and took me around 8 months (part time) to build.

Below is the video on Youtube and hope you would enjoy it.

That ... is ... a lot of LEDs, all put to very good use :)
Thank you very much for sharing that with us.
I have moved the post to our "Projecy Showcase" sub-forum.

Hi Sudheeras, what a fantastic project! Would you be willing to give further detail regarding the schematics and code for the build? I would love to attempt this project.
