Has anyone used the Android Studio to create a IOIO app for the USBDROID? I have been trying to use MIT App Inventor with no luck. So thought I would give Android Studio a go.
I honestly have no Idea where to start.

Hi cj,

Are you trying to connect to the USBDroid using the ADK protocol?
Android Studio would work for this but it depends on how good your java is.

I'm stating to play around with this myself.

Hi Freeze

Yep I am trying to connect with the android adk Protocol. I know it would be much easier to use a Bluetooth module but I would like to learn how to use the adk also. As for my coding capabilities, I am a beginner but always willing to learn.

So the USB_Host_Shield_2.0 github has a few examples for ADK, also have a look at https://www.circuitsathome.com/category ... ndroid-adk for the app examples (warning this can get complex so try and have a good understanding of java first). You can load them onto your USBDroid/phone and get a feel for how they work buy having a look at the source code. Which IDE you use for this shouldn't matter, what issues are you having with MIT App inventor?
