Pool Temp monitor

Postby keiranwyllie » Fri Nov 11, 2016 7:00 am

Trying not to spam this Showcase folder however I'm really enjoying playing around with Arduino and learning, learning, learning...so here's my really quick latest project.

Using the following:
* Arduino Uno
* DS18B20 Waterproof Temperature Sensor
* 16x2 LCD (I2C)

I'm going to test it with a standard 9V battery connected however I may contemplate running a small solar panel on the roof down to it. No real need (at the moment) to know what the water temp is at night lol

Now, any suggestions on a nice little case for the LCD and Arduino???

Ended up swapping to a NodeMCU and putting everything in a nice small enclosure. Works great with a battery however the next step is to run it off solar...just have to work out the best way to drop it from 12VDC to 5VDC.

Any suggestions??

Nice project, where and how did you mount the sensor?
