Hi,
I have recently purchased the Freetronics Bluetooth Shield and I am trying to reprogram the HC-05 module. Could someone please tell me how to do this? I have tried shorting the key pin and managed to get the Status light flashing at 2 second intervals, but I don't know how to send commands to it. I have tried to follow this guide http://www.instructables.com/id/Modify- ... s-Using-A/ with no success.
Thanks in Advanced,
Jed Hodson

Here's a link to the AT commands and more information:

Give the following a try:

and don't forget to change the jumpers on the BT shield to 10 and 11 for RX and TX respectively.

Re: Modifying the Bluetooth Module Settings
Hi,
I've also recently purchased the Freetronics Bluetooth Shield and tested the basic sketch listed in the Quickstart Guide with Tera Term to check that it works. I am a relatively noob with Arduino but have got this far without any problems.
I now want to modify things like the BT name and password from the default. The previous reply pointed to articles which included instructions for wiring up an independent HC-05 module with a breakout board. Given I have a shield plugged into my Arduino, I'm assuming a lot of this is irrelevant as it is all effectively connected up but I've found it a little confusing. Could I please ask for a simplified set of instructions that indicates the steps relevant to the Bluetooth Shield. Happy if this points to sections on other pages as long as it explains what is relevant and what is not.
Regards,
Grant
