Serial for debugging

Post by matbor » Wed May 11, 2016 10:49 am

On the etherten, if I have it powered off a powerpack via USB is there a way to quickly debug the unit using a serial ttl console cable without adding software serial to some of the pins or even any extra code?

Thx
Matt.

Hi Matt,

Yes! Pins 0 & 1 are TX and RX. If you connect these to your 5V serial adapter, plus a ground pin between the two, then you can communicate directly as if you were connected to the USB port.
