I like to access a 2GB FAT16 SD Card for reading some data

The EtherTen combines an Uno-equivalent Arduino-compatible board and Wiznet-based Ethernet support, along with a microSD card slot and Power-over-Ethernet support. [Product page]

I like to access a 2GB FAT16 SD Card for reading some data from a txt file. Using the SD examples, there is no response. Testing the same sketch with my Etherten and the same Card - everything is fine. Any Suggestions? Is there anything more to know about for example Pin declarations, etc?

The pin declaration for SS will vary depending on your hardware. You mention your sketch works on the EtherTen - what is the other hardware you are using with which it doesn't work? Check the SS pin for the card socket on that system as well.
