weather station

We just ordered some sunscreens. but since we are on the 4th(top) floor near by the sea we have to deal with wind speed.

i planed to us a weather station to measure the weather conditions and automatic close the sunscreens when the wind is to hard.

so i order Weather station (datasheet)

i also want to on 2 sides a lux sensore to check the sunlight and a Humidity and temperature sensore

My original plan is to use a raspberry to do all this since i have one spare.
but as far as i can see will the wind direction be a issue.
also the lux meter is special for arduino

So i ask you experts for some advice.
1. Will this be possible with a raspberry or should i need a arduino?
2. if it should be a arduino what would be the cheapest solution with ethernet since i am already over budget ;)
3. does anyone have experience with the parts i use?

Since there is a few meters cable between the place of the raspberry and the location of the weather station i decided to bought a
so that question is solved
no i need to wait until the package is delivered from AU to europe and that is always the hardest part.

for other people that are intresting in this station

There is someone who actually has wrote a libarie for this station
it should work for a home made version as well, since it is simply working with analog paramater for the wind vane (voltage) and a switch counter for the rain gauge and the anemometer.

I will post the code here when i have everything done
