Sketches are lost on power down, boot loader issue?

The "Eleven" is our Uno-equivalent Arduino-compatible board, but with a number of improvements including prototyping area, a mini-USB connector, LEDs mounted near the edge, and the D13 LED isolated using a FET. [Product page]

Sketches are lost on power down, boot loader issue?

Post by Stanley » Tue Apr 19, 2016 11:31 am

Hello all, I have a Eleven v2.0 R3. I've had it a long time and have made tons of projects on it. I have it currently hooked up to a draw bot, and when it stays plugged in (USB) it works great.
I didn't realise until now that sketches were meant to be retained after power down, as my eleven did this all the time I thought it was part of the deal??
I read for some other versions of UNO have "Flash amnesia" and there is a patched boot loader that will fix this.
Is there a fix? I couldn't find anything in the forum.
I have a Mega that i haven't even needed to power up as the eleven has done everything I needed.

The quickest fix is to reflash the bootloader.
You can use your Mega as a programmer.
