The "Eleven" is our Uno-equivalent Arduino-compatible board, but with a number of improvements including prototyping area, a mini-USB connector, LEDs mounted near the edge, and the D13 LED isolated using a FET. [Product page]

Man this a pain, another problem, just when I think I have solved all the problem, the Arduino software will not communicate with the (Uno)-eleven module now.

It is 9600 bps, 8 Data bits, No parity, 1 stop bit No flow control.

I even have had to get into “Device manager” to get the com ports matching up.

---- More ----

I think the data figures are OK ................... of this drama one minute it downloads then it doesnt work, then it works Then it doesnt work and all the way alive it is frustration trying to get the B' program trying download. ….

is there better software that saves you going bald while working on Arduino?

Hey bud. Iv had a similar problem before. Turns out that it was my wifi adapter clashing with arduinos drivers. Try turn it off if you have and see what happens.

Windows users - if you are having trouble uploading sketches to your Eleven or other Freetronics device with USB, and have not already done so - please use our signed Windows driver, available from the following page:

Does your machine recognise the Eleven as a Freetronics 8U2 or 16U2 in device manager?

it does not say anything until I want to "add legacy hardware" then I have pick something off the list, then it always says "This device can not start (Code 10)"

with a yellow mark against it, it works if there is no yellow mark, when it happens.

Hi 2ndTime,

Another possibility from the symptoms you're describing is a problem with the USB port or the USB cable.

If you swap ports on your computer does it make any difference? (Trying things like bypassing any hubs, swapping from front to rear ports, etc.)

Do you have another USB cable that you can try instead of the one which came with the Eleven?

When it's not working, if you unplug it, open Device Manager, then plug it back in, does anything happen in the Device Manager window at all?

Sorry I was so rude not to get back so soon, but I just got so sick if it, and was thinking "Raspberry pi" might be the way to go.

I wonder what this error means

avrdude: stk500_getsync(): not in sync: resp=0x00
