How to add a USB to the eleven

The "Eleven" is our Uno-equivalent Arduino-compatible board, but with a number of improvements including prototyping area, a mini-USB connector, LEDs mounted near the edge, and the D13 LED isolated using a FET. [Product page]

Post by monkymoo19 » Fri Feb 14, 2014 1:57 am

Could anyone tell me how I can add a usb port to the eleven which I can plug in a memory stick to save data to.

Thanks in advance. ;)

Does it have to be a USB memory stick? Writing text to an SD card is much, much simpler.
Anyhow, here's a starting point:

Does Freetronics sell a SD or micro SD shield? Or should I look elsewhere like Jaycar?

Not at this point. Unless you want an EtherTen :)

Jaycar don't have them, but one of our Australian resellers has a few, for example:

I think I will buy an EtherTen because I don't have a credit card so I can't buy things online, but I can buy an EtherTen from Jaycar which is 5 minutes down the road. So thanks for your help! :D

Slightly off-topic but perhaps consider a PayPal account, you don't need a credit card and can use it online.
