status rgb led modifiable?

Is there any method whereby I can control the status rgb led behaviour?

For example, one thing I'd like to do is change the default colour of the power output from blue to green - or switch it off altogether.

Hi barneyman & shacker,

Unfortunately, you can't really modify the LED.

The blue colour is connected permanently to power, so it will always be on.

The red and green are connected to RX/TX indicator outputs for serial communications. If you customise the firmware you load on the LeoStick then you can put these under manual control, instead of the automatically associated uses they have now. However this is a fairly advanced firmware modification, not one we support, and it's not possible under the standard Arduino environment. If you're interested in pursuing that further, this is the PDF of the LeoStick schematic that shows the connections.

If the RGB LED is bothering you, or too bright, then a small piece of black electrical tape is an effective solution (and one I've used before, myself).
