Connecting DMD with Power Bank

Post by statbat » Tue Dec 29, 2015 2:43 pm

Hello All,

I am a newbie and it is my first project.

I have been searching and am unable to find how to connect the 16 x 32 DMD LED with my 48000mAh Portable Mobile Power Bank with Output DC 5V 2.1A

My main question is how can i convert a USB cable into the +VE and GND so that it can be attached to the back of the DMD

I have read in forum that some users did connect their LED to the Powerbank.

Please help.

The simplest method is to get a new USB cable - a thicker one, that can deal with the higher current - say 26 AWG.
Chop off the unwanted end and use a multimeter to determine which wire is + and which is GND.
Don't forget to connect GND to your Arduino GND as well.
