Using a MCU from TI not an Arduino

The Dot Matrix Display (DMD) is a 32x16 array of high-brightness LEDs for visually striking effects. [Product Page]

Using a MCU from TI not an Arduino

Post by taina36 » Wed Sep 03, 2014 11:04 am

Im going to use an TM4C12x MCU. I'm searching for the right MCU (don't have the specific yet).
I need to know if I can use any type of MCU not an Arduino and how I connect the different Pins like the SCLK, nOE, SCLK, B, A, C, G y D.

Thanks! :)

Hi taina,

It should be entirely possible to use a different MCU.

For some times, I'd start by reading this thread - start at the linked post and go down:

As written there, you can probably adapt the code in either the DMD or DMD2 library to work with a different MCU.

Please let us know how you get on.
