Other Fonts

Hi All,

Are there any other fonts besides:
- Font3x5
- Arial_black_16.h
- Arial14.h
- SystemFonts5x7.h

I do not want to make or modify any other fonts.

No, that's it (unless other users have made their own and not told anyone).

Is there a tutorial somewhere for how to construct a custom font that will be compatible with the DMD?

Not at the moment. I'll put it on my to-do list.
In the meanwhile, have a look here:

Thanks - that's the one I've used, however the file format created doesn't quite match those in the existing fonts, though it may just be they're not commented as well and it will work fine.

I will know more once I get to testing.

Thanks for confirming I'm on the right track,
Geoff

These are the nicest numbers I could find. DMD can reuse the same format as LCD shields use, within reason.

You can create your own fonts from any system font.
I have made several fonts for the DMD with GLCD Font Creator.
You can download it from the link below.

If you create a new font you have to give it a name, make sure when you export the font give it the same name with a .h extension.

Put the file in your DMD directory.
