My problem is, the entire panel is lit and the pattern led are not lit. Are this problem regarding the coding or the hardware (DMD display)?

Well it could be either, or even something else. We have no way of telling without more details - such as seeing your code - are you using a Uno or something else? - hardware/wiring configuration.
Have you tried the sample sketches supplied with the libraries? If they work, then it is a problem with your sketch.
Are you powering the DMD from a solid 5V supply or from the USB port? See this this thread.

I had used arduino uno and also tried the sample sketches supplied with the library. The result is the dmd was working but the pattern of led are not lit as usual. I had power the dmd using usb port only without 5v supply.

This indicates that something is probably wrong with your setup rather than your code.

I would strongly suggest that you power your DMD from a separate 5V supply capable of AT LEAST 2 Amps. USB power is not sufficient to power a DMD and may be the cause of your problem. Read the thread in my earlier response.

Thanks for your suggestion. I will try it later.
