New EtherMega R2, or R3?

Post by bigd003 » Mon Sep 12, 2016 10:56 pm

As the title inquires, I am trying to find out for sure which revision the newer Megas are. I found a post here from a while back, that said the older megas do not use pins A4 and 5 for i2c... Which caused me to wonder if the newer ones do.

I see they are printed with R3 on the back, but was wondering if I2C still worked on 4/5.

In the case of using the relay 8 boards, would one need to do the PCB mod in order for correct I2C communication?

Thank you!
