Ethermega availability

Post by pantxoa » Tue Dec 08, 2015 6:52 am

Hi all,
Ethermega is a great board, but for monthes now, it has been very difficult to purchase them, even with the help of availability notifications. It is sold out permanently. Do you plan to get some more frequent batch :) or is the EOL board scheduled :( ?

Hello
It isn't EOL, however we have customers buying almost 100 at a time. We have increased manufacturing and hope to have some in around five to six weeks.
Some of our distributors still have stock:

I based a project on the EtherMega a couple of months ago and now want to duplicate it many times over.
But EtherMega is nowhere to be found.
I have checked every reseller in every country on your reseller list.
This seems to be a recurring problem for a board that has been around for 3 to 4 years.
I read many forum posters complaining that its price is higher than a Mega plus ethernet shield, but its better than that combo and the fact that it sells off the shelves is a testament to its value to the maker community.

In early Dec, about the time of the previous post in this thread, I found a couple of boards in Australia. You stated then that Freetronics was going to increase production. But the EM is nowhere. What is the current production/distribution status?
