EtherMega TFTP

Post by STeXE » Tue Sep 10, 2013 9:00 pm

Hello guys,

I would need to update the sketch on my EtherMega through the net, I saw this article on the main site: http://www.freetronics.com/pages/how-to ... -a-network

From what I understand you can do this for the EtherMega, what is the procedure?

Thanks for everything :D

Hi STeXE,

The bootloader that we packaged is for ATmega328p only (ie EtherTen only.) However the same approach has been used for the ATMega2560 (ie EtherMega.)

It looks to me like the most mature existing project with 2560 support is the "Ariadne" bootloader:
https://github.com/codebendercc/Ariadne-Bootloader

They say ATMega2560/Wiznet W5100 is supported, which is the exact same hardware as the EtherMega. I can't guarantee it will work, but that's what I would try first.

Can anyone confirm whether the Ariadne bootloader mentioned in the previous post works with the Freetronics EtherMega 2560?
