program SPI device with the ethernet connection

Post by Thijs » Fri Dec 07, 2012 2:39 pm

Hey,

If got myself a EtherMega board. I can connect my pc (via telnet) with the board and I can read/write to I2C devices and so on.
Now my problem is that I want to program anther device using SPI via the telnet terminal.
Send a couple of bytes to the EtherMega board and program then to the device using SPI.

They say it is possible to use the Ethernet connection 'together' with devices on the SPI bus, but I can't get it working  . Somebody have experience with my problem or some example codes that are working?

Thanks!

Thanks!
Do you have a link to where "they" said it? :) Ethernet uses the SPI which generally would rule out such a thing.

You can see the topic 'EtherMega SPI '.
I now it is not possible to use them at the same time.
How can you switch between the ethernet chip and another device?

Grtz
