Trimpot output to I2c

Post by ash999 » Fri Oct 18, 2013 11:00 pm

HI, I am a newbie and do apologize in advance if I sound stupid.
I have recently purchased Freetronics "Eleven" board and 8 channel relay shield.
I would like to switch them on and off sequentially and control the speed via the Trimpot.
Is it possible and what would be the best way to go about?

Thanks in advance

Hi Ash999. There is no such thing as a stupid question. I'm new here myself, waiting for Santa to bring me a Leostick.

Do I guess correctly that you wish to change the rate at which you switch the relays on and off in sequence bases on the position of the trimpot?

That should be fairly simple using an analogue input to read the trimpot and a piece of code to control the frequency based on this.

Start small, use the example code for analogue input and relay driving as a basis and when these work, hack them together.

Let us know how you get on.

Pogo.
