Game: Arduino Trek

The LCD and Keypad Shield gives you a handy 16-character by 2-line display, 5 buttons and a controllable backlight.

Game: Arduino Trek

Hi there,

I'm a game developer from Sydney, Australia. I just started playing with Freetronics stuff, and my first trick was to take just the Eleven and the LCD shield to try and make an action game.

This was tricky as I had to use custom characters on the LCD screen to add pixel-smooth animation, and it's still flickery.

Still, not bad for a first effort.

I plan to do a video blog post about how I made it and maybe post bits of the source code for the curious.

Let me know if you're interested...
