Re: episode #12 Building a Home automation controller sketch

Hi Darren,

If you don't have the MAC chip then you can just leave all this code out. Your code will still work, only you can't preset the MAC address to a known value.

Re: Relay 8 project, as Jon shows, with DHT22 added... trouble

Hi Darren,

Sorry for the slow reply. If you're still having problems displaying values from the DHT22 then please post your sketch. You can use the "code" button in the new post editor to add "code tags" - put your code between them and it will format properly for the forum.

Re: unable to install driver

Hi minimacka,

Is the "Unknown Device" definitely the Cube? You can confirm this by seeing if it goes away when you unplug the cube, and comes back when you plug it back in.

Re: Arduino MEGA 2560

Hi Copycat, If you use DMD2 then you can use pins 11-13 on a Mega, via the "SoftDMD" feature. This is probably the easiest approach, provided all of the display graphics features you need are present in DMD2. Regarding the problems with a connection, is it possible the jumper pins you are using are ...

Re: Contributing Updates

Hi, Thanks for getting in touch! We'd be very happy to see your contributions. The process you need to follow on github is called "forking the repository" (to get your own copy) and then "sending a pull request" (from your fork to our fork). More details can be found here: https://help.github.com/ar...

Re: USB driver problem

Hi Stylmast,

On an EtherTen this would usually indicate a hardware problem with the Atmega16u2 that performs USB/Serial conversion. Or possibly bad firmware flashed to that microcontroller.

Does the EtherTen work on any computers? Is it brand new?

Re: Eleven running slow

Hi bhall, Sorry to hear your Eleven is misbehaving. Regarding reading/writing fuses via the internal (serial) bootloader, unfortunately this isn't supported. The serial bootloader will always return 0 for fuse values, regardless of how they are set. Regarding the AVR ISP MKii, try adding the command...

Hi btron,

Sorry about the lack of updates for the Pi 3. It's on our list to update but we haven't quite got to it yet. There will be an update soon, I promise.

Re: Missing API to draw Bitmap using const uint8_t array[] PROGMEM

Hi Amit, We don't have that exact bitmap support, but we do have support for .BMP files - you can create a 1 bit-per-pixel .BMP file for the layout that you're after, and use the OLED128 library to draw that: https://github.com/freetronics/FTOLED/wiki/Displaying-BMPs Otherwise, people have successfu...
