Re: Interface protocol

Edfield, As Tronixstuff said, that thread has some info... Here it is again, but with more detail.. I am using a Maximite monochrome (pic32) to power the DMD panels. Currently I have 9 panels in a 3x3 configuration.. I mirror the VGA display to the dmd panels. I use the MMBasic to code the VGA displ...

Re: DMD_Demo slows when set to more than 4 dmd's

Hi,
As this is the generic demo, I would have to ask where can I set the framerate. Do you mean the timerone interupt. If I try and upload a large sketch of around 28k ,I get an upload error as well.

Thanks for the info. I will have a look later . Probably tomorrow..

DMD_Demo slows when set to more than 4 dmd's

Hi all, I am using a freetronics Etherten to run the dmd_demo sketch, connected to 9 (3x3) dmd panels. Because the dmd's are daisy chained, the display on the un-configured dmd's are 1 pixel line out, because of the A and B settings, but they still display ok. DMD's powered by computer psu... If I s...

Re: Upload problems (avrdude stk500 getsync)

Robin I was having the same problem, with a wifly module (not on a shield) connected to the eleven. The dreaded "avrdude: stk500_getsync(): not in sync: resp=0x00" . It didn't matter what I tried , it would not Upload a sketch. Once I removed the tx / rx leads from the eleven to the wifly, then I co...

Re: DMD with RaspberryPi

Debenham, Hate to be the bearer of bad things, but.... When I changed the output to the other pins, it still worked flawlessly.. on a 3x3 setup...(9 panels).. extract from maximite pdf manual ******* Electrical Characteristics Power Supply Via External Power: 7V to 12V (14V if no significant current...

Re: Chained DMD Addressing?

Bruce, 3 panels wide by 1 down, would give you a range of 0 to 95 wide and 0-15 down. So yes, panel3 ( yes - connected to arduino ) , would start at pixel 64 and go to pixel 95.. YES they are very bright when connected to the external Power Supply. But still worth it. I have a small space invaders d...
