Eagle files corrupt?

I tried to open the board layout file 16x2LCDShieldv2.brd (downloaded from GITHUB) in Eagle 6.0.0 but it is corrupt. ("not an Eagle file") and the schematic (.sch) is too.

Has anyone been able to open these files ?

The USBDroid has a slot for a microSD card which can do exactly what you want (datalogging) so there is no need for a USB memory stick.
