Re: Goldilocks support

Anthony, ok. Looks like there might be some kind of time out issue, related to Mac in particular or your set up. The bootloader initialise timing IS tight. There is plenty of time for a machine to hit the bootloader following the DTR (RESET) pulse, but for a human it is tight. In the normal case thi...

Re: I2C R3 shield headers

Geoff, A4 and A5 are electrically different to SDA and SCL (I2C). They are on different I/O pins. This is similar to the Arduino Leonardo, although the actual pins and ports are different. Unlike in Arduino Leonardo, there is the option to reversibly join a solder bridge on the rear side to link the...

Re: Goldilocks support

Anthony, with the two different /ttyACM0 and /ttyACM1 I was referring to Linux randomness. Sometimes if you power cycle quickly the PC doesn't have enough time to delete the first reference so it creates a new one, before it destroys the old one. That's caught me sometimes, so I always check using d...

Re: INT2 attachInterrupt support

Hi Vic, actually there isn't a Goldilocks core as such. The support for 1284p in the standard core is now pretty good. Some others have done a lot of work to improve the situation. So we thought to make it simple and more compatible we'd not go down the path of building a special core. However, ther...

Re: Goldilocks support

Anthony, how often have I seen the avrdude printout you just provided? I can answer, quite a lot. First, if you're using linux there is an enumeration problem between LUFA and linux. Just resetting the 32u2 doesn't achieve re-enumeration. You actually need to power cycle the interface. This doesn't ...

Re: 16U2 Tx/Rx LEDs stay ON sometimes

That sounds like a win for WinXP vs. Linux.

Seriously though, I'll post the error codes for 32u2 DFU and Benito in the user manual soon. The interested can look into Dean's LUFA code as there are no changes.

Re: Goldilocks Bootloader

Vic, Depending on your compile environment, I'd expect that there should be no changes needed. The biggest issue I had was working around the serial timing issues caused by using the 32u2 at 16MHz, which won't apply in your application. If you're using a FT232RL then you can choose an upload baud ra...

Re: 16U2 Tx/Rx LEDs stay ON sometimes

hiduino, I've noticed this effect with my platform occasionally too. I'm using Ubuntu 12.04, 64 bit. The LEDs turned on indicates an error in USB enumeration. The 32U2 sometimes doesn't enumerate properly, or it has enumerated oddly. It happens occasionally when I've been driving the 1284P SPI bus w...

Re: sample RTC code

I've attached the library code (extracted from the clone of the avr-libc upstream repository mentioned above), with some sample initialisation code put into init_system_tick(), and some timer code borrowed from Contiki OS.

The time.h file includes all of the usage descriptions.

Re: sample RTC code

Hi Neils, Some time ago I was looking for an implementation of the libc time functions, and found that avr-libc team have already put a version together. Here's a clone of their upstream repository. https://github.com/vancegroup-mirrors/avr-libc/tree/master/avr-libc/libc/time I expect that sometime ...
