Re: Which speaker and piezo-buzzer to use?

The speaker looks correct, we did not install the buzzer. It does look about right from the spec.

Re: Ethermega fried the 5v regulator

Hi If anyone gets this issue and wants to confirm if the regulator is working, you can put a multimeter between the DC IN pin (on the jumper header that selects between USB / DC IN power) and Ground to see if there is any voltage coming out of the regulator. No voltage on those pins. The DC jack on ...

Re: Ethermega fried the 5v regulator

Looks like I fried my Ethermega's 5v regulator - the EUP3476. I get no life when powered from the DC socket but it works fine from the USB (yes, I switched the jumpers). It seems like I have just had the same problem. I was working correctly and I came back and found the unit unpowered. Plugging in...

Re: Receiver Shield seeing data all the time

I've given up at this point the noise hids the signal to the point that I've only see the radio packet a couple of times I'm building a beaglebone which I'll directly connect to the USB interface on my receiver. It's a real pitty because it would have been great to not have to use the interface Chee...

Re: Receiver Shield seeing data all the time

Unfortunately, I'm trying to reverse engineer a protocol for an OOK device that only transmits once every 20 seconds or so - sifting through all of the extra bits to find ones that may or may not matter isn't much fun. I can force my weather unit to transmit and I've been doing this and I have the ...

Re: Receiver Shield seeing data all the time

Hi All How likely is it that I could have a bad receiver ? I see way to much noise and when I do see traffic which is the weather units its way to short and does not come close to meeting the protocol I have from another locations. I sent an email to the support@freetronic on the 6th, have not seen ...

Re: Receiver Shield seeing data all the time

Ok possibly answering my own post, I suspect that the receivers gain goes wide open when not receiving a signal. Meaning that most of the pulses I see are just noise. Ever so often I see in the log a section which is cleaner with the zero's and one's being more consistent. I suspect that this is the...

Receiver Shield seeing data all the time

Hi Guys Would it be normal for me to be seeing data on the Receiver Shield all the time ? I wrote a program using leading and trailing edge detection and interrupts and see data all the time. I've attached a copy of the code and the result. I've sure the code has issues, but I've written a couple of...
