Re: Turn USB Host Power Out On and Off

Hi Marks, I am not sure if this would work, I am still just learning the basics of electronics. How about using a reed relay to toggle the USB power. You could then trigger the relay with one of the digital pins. I think you would also need a 1N4001 diode or similar to protect against back EMF. This...

Re: LCD Menu

You could try Phi prompt http://liudr.wordpress.com/libraries/. I looked at it when I needed a menu system, but ended up rolling my own.

I2C LCD & Keypad Shield

I love the LCD & Keypad Shield, but it doesn't play nicely with the USBDroid and has a conflict with the microSD card on the EtherTen. It would be nice if Freetronics made an I2C version of the shield that only used say pins A0 (for the buttons), A4 and A5 (for I2C). Then there would be no conflict ...

Re: RGB Module

Hi Micheal, The colour and brightness of the module are set by the three (red, green and blue) primary colours. These colours are packed into a long variable. The byte order is 0xRRGGBB where RR is the red brightness, GG is the green brightness and BB is the blue brightness. As an example I have hac...

Re: USBdroid+LCDkeypad: conflict on D4 (Chip Select for SD)

Hi ninja2, by default the 16x2 LCD shield uses D3 for backlight control. D9 is used by both the LCD shield and the USBDroid, so you need to use an extra pin to resolve this conflict. The USBDroid has a jumper for USBINT to use either D9 or D3. So you will probably end up using either D2 or D3 for ei...

Are you sure you are actually downloading the file? Take a look at this thread:-

Re: Humidity & Temp Sensor

Hi Buzbot, Your problem appears to be that you are using an old version of the DHT library with the Arduino 1.0 IDE. Last year when the Arduino 1.0 IDE was released they changed the names of some of the headers. Breaking a lot of libraries. error: WProgram.h no such file or directory If you follow k...

Re: Uploading large(r) programs

I don't have a Mega at the moment, but that is useful to know. How did you figure that out? Found this interesting link by the person that wrote the bootloader

Re: Eagle files corrupt?

Hi Ninja2, I suspect you did the same thing as I did today (but I was opening the USBDroid files). If you go to the github page and right click on them, you will download some XML that Eagle wont like. You need to click on the link of the file you want. This will slide open another page and then use...
