Would it not be possible to send one module to sleep while reading from another. Also could you tell me the I2C address of the baro module?

Door lock shield and relay

When using the Door Lock Shield to fire an electric door strike, do I need to use a relay or do I connect the door strike directly to the strike terminals on the shield with 12 v connected to the other terminals?

I am powering my EtherTen with a 9V 500mA regulated switchmode plugpack and the board gets very very hot around the main chip and voltage regulator.
