Re: Ether Mega driver issue - Windows 10
I had to stop back to admit I was wrong. It was pointed out to me that the current existing drivers can be utilized inside a Windows 10 environment the same as previous versions of Windows. For me, I tried to update the drivers from someone else's Windows 10 machine and it would not take, so I just ...

Re: RTC and prototyping area
I had already done this (cut the RESET-EN traces and soldered some wires back to the pads and other ends to a switch. However, I later discovered that my time reset problems stemmed from the code as there is code to program the RTC initially, and then certain language needs to be removed, commented ...

Re: Ether Mega driver issue - Windows 10
I'm in the same boat. I had Windows 7 on this laptop and the driver worked well as my Ethermega worked well. Unfortunately I have damaged the MCU and need to order another, but I won't shell out another $120 for a new board (as great as it is) if the driver's aren't updated, nor will I put Windows 7...

Does Breakout SCL and SDA have pullups?
Does Breakout SCL and SDA have pullup resistors? The reason I ask is because I connected my RTC there for I2C, but I built this project with the understanding that the wire library enables the pullups for I2C communications, but this understanding is of course based on the Arduino Mega.

Re: Ethermega stops
^^ DHCP would assign a different IP to a connecting mobile device. I am having similar issues with my sketch and my EM. My EM is connected to the web through an app called Blynk. Every 2 seconds the EM samples an RTC and sends the time as a String to the Blynk server and subsequently to my smart pho...

Re: Switchmode Power
You will need to switch it over to upload a sketch via USB. I am tweaking my code and frequently uploading new sketches so I tried to leave the switch in the DC Socket position while I upload a new sketch and it uploaded. Can you please test uploading a sketch via the USB while the EM is powered vi...

Re: Switchmode Power
I got some switches in the mail today and updated my project box. The switches connect to RST-EN and the header pins for Switch Mode. Initially, the switches both were in the false position and were first tested that way. Upon toggling the switches and closing the correct loops, power flowed through...

Re: Switchmode Power
That will be a problem for my project. Perhaps I could put together a selector switch on the exterior of the box like I have for the RST-EN function that would allow me to switch back and forth as needed.

Re: Switchmode Power
Thanks for that answer. My followup question is will I still be able to use the USB for uploading new sketches while the unit is powered by the DC socket? My project is in an enclosure, and I only planned for passive POE and USB type B, but I got a B to A adapter inside to accommodate the EM.

Switchmode Power
I am not completely understanding what this is, and prior to finding out the hard way, I want to first ask. My project will soon incorporate passive POE injectors and I want to know if there is anything I need to have in order prior to sending power to the barrel jack. Is it as simple as shifting th...
