Re: LeoStick as ISP not working!

I can't believe I forgot about that... The IC is working both on a breadboard and when placed into the Eleven. It seems I must use an external crystal when placing it into a breadboard though, must get set after bootloading it a first time. Under avrdude; it now correctly reads the IC: avrdud...

Re: LeoStick as ISP not working!

Sorry for not getting back sooner, out of the state for family. I remade the circuit today, posted some photos of the setup. DSC_0024.jpg DSC_0021.jpg DSC_0019.jpg The circuit is a replica of ArduinoToBreadboard ; 10KΩ Resistor, 2x 22pF Capacitors, 16MHz Crystal, ATmega328P-PU, the issues also arise...

Re: Leostick Joystick? Yes, and here's how.

Just for giggles, I also done a Serial.print sketch for both the NES & SNES GamePads, to demonstrate how to use them without HID. These don't really belong here as they will work for all Arduino boards, however they may be useful if you need to work out whether the controller is working before you m...

Re: Leostick Joystick? Yes, and here's how.

I have finished the NES GamePad and it works correctly, the HID reports 4 Axes + 4 Buttons under Linux and Windows. Update: I also done a SNES GamePad, the HID reports 4 Axes + 8 Buttons under Linux and Windows. I should note that this was written using Arduino IDE 1.6.3, LeoStick bootloader V2 and ...

Re: Leostick Joystick? Yes, and here's how.

Hello, I have want to have a program tell my arduino to turn on or off some LEDs (might actually want to send a brightness value 0-255) but i cant quite figure out how i add that to the USBAPI.h and HID.cpp If I understand you correctly, you want to control some LED's using a Joystick? If so you do...

LeoStick as ISP not working!

Hi, I have some issues with a LeoStick that I bought a bit of a while back. I cannot use the LeoStick as an ISP despite multiple testing, using both Windows and Linux. I have the latest bootloader from GitHub currently loaded. I have used alternate bootloaders, including v1, v2 and the latest GitHub...

Re: USB Serial Adapter not working

Just responding to your first post; do I still require a dedicated ISP programmer to use the adapter as a programmer? When looking at my local stores product range, I wanted the cheapest option to simply program another chip. I did look at getting a programmer, however modern computers today don't h...

Re: USB Serial Adapter not working

Hi Angus, the atmega8 I believe didn't have any pre-burnt bootloader I'm aware of, at least that's what I was told at my local Jaycar store where I purchase my gear from. I went back to my local store and asked for advice, perhaps for them to test whether there was anything wrong with the board. The...

USB Serial Adapter not working

Hi, I am very confused, it is my first time trying to program a microchip (ATMEGA8-16PI) and I am using a breadboard Arduino and the Freetronics USB-Serial Adapter. For software; I am using Windows 8.1, I have installed the USB v2.2 drivers, Arduino v1.6.0 and v1.0.5 and AVRDude. I built a circuit u...
