New Nima 17 motor

Hi, I have one of your H-Bridges, connected to a Uno board. At the moment the Uno is powered by a 9v battery, and the H-Bridge is powered by a 12v wall adapter, without the jumper in place. The Motor is Nima 17, 4 wire, rated at 12v, and it works well. However the original motor is under-powered for...

Re: Power to the Hbridge

Thank you Andrew, this info has solved the major issue!

I thought that the Uno needed between 7 & 12v to operate, if I can use 6v all the better. I will give it a try.

Re: Power to the Hbridge

Thank you Andrew So to clarify it all in my brain, if I 1 ) power the Uno with a 9v battery to the Uno's jack 2 ) Remove the "Bridge motor power to Vin" jumper on the shield 3 ) In-put an 18v nimh rechargeable battery pack into the screw terminals on the shield to make sure that there is always at l...

Power to the Hbridge

Hi, I have a Uno, and your Hbridge. At the moment, I always disconnect the power to the Hbridge BEFORE I de-power the Uno, as I have read that leaving the Hbridge powered up with the Uno unpowered can cause major dramas to either the Uno and /or the Hbridge. Is this correct, or can I de-power the Un...

Re: HBRIDGE Motor Driver Shield problem

Hi johnb, thanks for the prompt reply, I have been using your demo sketch, same results. Using an amp meter on the motor, it pulls 30ma free running, the start-up current shouldn't be that much more. Switching the current limiting switch doesn't seem to make any difference. As you suggested, I put a...

HBRIDGE Motor Driver Shield problem

Hi I've bought the H BRIDGE shield to use on my Arduino UNO. At the moment. I'm trying something simple, a 12v DC brushed motor. I know that the motor runs on 12v, and draws 30ma on no load. I have uploaded the sample sketch, however all that happens is that the motor turns about 3 revolutions and t...
