Re: Etherten ethernet stopped working when powered by POE

Just a follow up - I bought a new 12V 2A adapter and now both Ethertens seems to working fine. Thanks for your help Angus.

Re: Etherten ethernet stopped working when powered by POE

Thanks Angus - I have just ordered a 12V 2A AC-DC wall wart so will try that when it arrives.

Re: Etherten ethernet stopped working when powered by POE

I have a 9V wall wart supplying the POE injector. Without anything plugged in it is reading about 9.4V across the input pins. When I attach the *good* Etherten it drops to about 9.3V. If I attach the *bad* Etherten it drops to 9.0V. How long should these POE injectors last? Is this a known issue wit...

Re: Etherten ethernet stopped working when powered by POE

Hey Angus, I do have a multimeter but I am not sure which IC is the voltage regulator on the Etherten. I took the jumpers off and measure the voltage coming in across the incoming POE and it was 8.1V. The voltage across the VCC + GND pins (without jumpers) was 4.27V - so this will be what is being s...

Re: Etherten ethernet stopped working when powered by POE

As soon as I unplug Etherten B from the USB supply (therefore powered by POE only) all the ethernet leds go out on both Etherten A and B and they both drop off the network. If I plug Etherten A into the USB supply then the ethernet leds come on but Etherten B is still dead. Plugging Etherten B into ...

Etherten ethernet stopped working when powered by POE

I have a couple of your Ethertens powered by POE from one of your 4-channel POE Mid Span Injectors. They have both been working just fine for the last month or so. Then all of a sudden last night both of them dropped off the network. They were both still receiving power and there was nothing in my D...

Re: Issues using pin A4 on Etherten (input)

Just a note, I have been doing some reading and it looks like the Wire.h library will automatically set the internal pullup resistors on A4 and A5 (SDA/SCL) when you call Wire.begin(). However I am not using the Wire library. But I am wondering if something else is somehow enabling those pullups? Is...

Issues using pin A4 on Etherten (input)

Hi, I am using the Etherten with the EmonTX Arduino shield from OpenEnergyMonitor (http://openenergymonitor.org/emon/emontxshield/smt). This shield has 5 analog inputs, 1 voltage sensor, and 4 current sensors. They are assigned to pins A0-4 respectively. The schematics can be found here; http://sold...
