Re: Dynamically creating textboxes

hi angus, thanks for that. So I've tried as you've suggested, so for instance, I globally declare: OLED_TextBox *textbox1; Then later in the main loop I do this: textbox1 = new OLED_TextBox(oled1,0,0,64,64); textbox1->println("Hello!"); Which works fine. At some point later in the code, I want to dy...

Dynamically creating textboxes

Hi guys, I've got 3 OLEDs running off a Teensy 3.0. What I'd like to do, is have my program read a file from an SD card (an ini file) and dynamically construct an interface based on those settings. To do this efficiently I'd ideally need to be able to create or at least assign text boxes at the glob...

Re: OLED example compile error with Arduino Due

hi there, So I get this when I run a teensy 3.0, using arduino 1.0.5. I've upgraded the libraries and still get the issue... In file included from C:\Users\adrian\Documents\Arduino\libraries\FTOLED/FTOLED.h:42:0, from aijii_wrx_display_teensy.ino:29: C:\Users\adrian\Documents\Arduino\libraries\FTOLE...

RAM

How much RAM would you expect to need, using one screen and your arduino library ? I know this will differ based on what we are doing with the screen.. but say if you were displaying simple textboxes etc...

Do you buffer the entire pixel grid in RAM ? Is this buffered on the screen iteself ?

Re: Fonts

Angus, do you think it would be possible to implement a scaler to the selectFont function that allows you to multiply the size of a stored font, without requiring you to actually store two sets ?

A straight multiplication shouldn't be too much more demanding computationally...

Re: Fonts

wow - i never realised how large these font header files were!

need a large font for numbers, the included droid sans 96 and 128 won't even fit on my atmega 2560...

I suppose I could make a large font file that had just numbers in it..

Re: Running multiple oLED screens with Arduino Mega 2560

I forgot to add - thanks for your help guys! As I start to throw some more at these screens, I'll keep you posted on how I go re:refresh rates. I'm not intending to do a great deal, mainly text, with some bar graphs for now. I might experiment with using BMPs for the more complicated stuff (like gau...

Textbox justification

Any ideas on how to get text right justified within text boxes ?
