Re: The SD card on the OLED 128 Display

Hi Geoffro The SD library can be found at https://github.com/adafruit/SD . Just put it into your libraries folder. Awesome thanks Jed. I actually have managed to get it working , you were right Angus and Chris . Not only do the length of the wires need to be short, the impedance needs to be a low l...

Re: The SD card on the OLED 128 Display

Hi Angus, thanks for the response while travelling, thats dedication :D * What Arduino IDE version are you using? Arduino ERW 1.0.5 I had to go to this version because the default version will not run properly under my windows x64, it runs super super slow, the Arduino guys suggested I use that vers...

Re: Ultrasonic Proximity Sensors

Thanks John, will do. Just thought I'd ask first as I couldn't find them on the product page. Also have seen a neat tutorial where a guy rips the infared TX/RX leds from a remote and VCR to make a reasonably good proximity sensor, might even give that a go.. not like the VCR is going to get any use ...

Ultrasonic Proximity Sensors

Are you going to ever stock these by any chance? They seem to be a pretty common thing with actual arduino kits and on ebay seem relatively inexpensive. https://www.google.com.au/search?rlz=1C2GIGM_enAU549AU549&q=arudino+ultrasonic+proximity+sensor&bav=on.2,or.r_qf.&bvm=bv.51773540,d.dGI,pv.xjs.s.en...

Flashforge Creator

Hey guys, I recently bought myself a flashforge. I wanted a dual head machine but really did not want to fork out the $2500 for the makerbot replicator 2. It's just your average generic brand but has the new good extruders with less issues and a very easy system to repair if something does go wrong....

Re: The SD card on the OLED 128 Display

Well, some bad news and bad news .. I managed to find myself a 128mb SD card! I formatted it to both FAT and FAT32 and tried the examples provided and no luck  I have tried everything, I am using the following wiring setup as stated. 1 5V ICSP 2 or 5V Pin 2 GND ICSP 6 or GND Pin 3 SD CS Digital...

Re: Line running down OLED

Thanks Angus, yeah will probably be return to you, it's a fair drive for me to return it to the store I bought it from as I had to find one that actually had them in stock, probably will order direct from you guys from now on, you are alot more helpful than the retailer. Just as an addition and for ...

Re: The SD card on the OLED 128 Display

Hi, mine does not work either..

I did track down this post for another brand that specifies no larger than 1gb and normal SD card, but nowhere in this freetronics manual or here does it state any of that information.

also what file format? FAT? FAT32?

Line running down OLED

Hi, just bought 2 of these for a project I am doing, but one of them has a thick bar running down the screen. When full colours are displayed, it shows as a dark wide bar running from top to bottom, and when its say.. white text on black, you see a cyan wide bar running through the text. Who should ...

Bad Led

Hi, just got my cube and set it up without a problem, all examples run well but I did notice one of my leds will not go white. It will go red, blue, yellow... but when it plays a full white cube one of them is an off colour, so I am assuming it is just a bad led, 1 out of 64 can't complain really. L...
