Re: Goldilocks Arduino Board Profile Problem

This appears to be a problem with the avrgcc code, not the Arduino core files. The Arduino IDE uses WINAVR-2008 which may have some memory leak issues using strings. You can update your Arduino IDE to use WINAVR-2010 ( http://sourceforge.net/projects/winavr/files/WinAVR/ )or the Atmel AVR Toolchain ...

Re: New 1284P-powered board suggestions

I see two different directions for a 1284P board. 1 - Fix the current Goldilocks design errata, with all the extra features. Higher cost. 2 - Have a much lower cost Uno drop-in replacement with just more RAM and Flash support. This should be the same size form factor as the Uno to support some cases...

Is Goldilocks not available anymore?

@johnb, I noticed you said the Goldilocks is retired in you other post. I was hoping to be able to get more. Will they be available for ordering? Or do we have to wait for the next version and how soon would that be?

Re: A respectable enclosure that caters for shields

You should check out this case from Solarbotics, https://solarbotics.com/product/60100/ . This has extra space above the Arduino board for a shield. It also has some extra space around for small lipo battery or something. It also has some optional faceplates for different configurations. I used it w...

Re: New 1284P-powered board suggestions

Yes, I would also agree that it should be as close to as possible to the Uno R3 pin outs and functions. So that it can be a drop in replacement with more RAM/Flash memory. What the current Goldilocks is mostly there, just the digital pin mapping should be adjusted more towards the Uno. (see my post,...

Re: INPUT_PULLUP

If you are comfortable you can modify the file yourself. Under where your sketch folder is edit this file ../Arduino/hardware/Goldilocks/cores/arduino/wiring_digital.c Replace the pinmode() routine with the one I posted in my other message. Also in the same folder edit this file,../Arduino/hardware/...

Re: analogRead is not working

feilipu, here is the alternative to modifying the core. I changed the digital pin numbering to better match the core and the Uno pin mapping. // // // Pins definitions for Goldilocks 1284P // Original file from Maniacbug's Mighty-1284 core // This version by Phillip Stevens (1st June 2013) // // #if...

Re: INPUT_PULLUP

It's not supported in the current core that Goldilocks is based on. If it was based on the mightyp core then it is older than Arduino IDE v1.0.1. Which is when INPUT_PULLUP support was added. The support was added to the core file wiring_digital.c file. Current Goldilocks core wiring_digital.c file:...

Re: analogRead is not working

You could always redefine the digital pins so that A0 - A7 are mapped to D14 - D21, with the added expense of making the PCINT mapping a little more complex. That way you wouldn't need to modify the core. You only will need to remap the pins_arduino.h file. This will also make the digital mapping ma...

analogRead is not working

feilipu, there appears to be an issue with analogRead with the analog ports A0 - A7. In the pins_arduino.h file you have the analog ports A0 - A7 mapped to digital pins D24 - D31. Which is not a problem itself. However, in the wiring_analog.c core file the analog pins A0 - A7 get mapped to digital p...
